Doing social media well isn't just for companies - people can do it too. Learning to use social media for your own purposes can help you connect better with your community, tell better stories, and find your tribe. In this workshop, the GitLab Social Team will cover the basics of treating your own personal social channels like they are the first thing people see about you. This intro to social will help GitLab team members from all walks of life and roles at work better use their Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook channels to write the perfect post and engage with their communities. We'll also cover how everyone at GitLab can contribute to the GitLab brand social channels with best practices and workflows.
  • Intended Audience: GitLab team members who want to learn how to up their personal game on social media, from engineers, writers, managers, and anything in between. This is a basic introduction to techniques, so marketers who already use their personal social media may find that this workshop to be repetitive information.
  • This is a presentation only, with one or two moments of live polls or asking the audience a question.
